Police amped up their coverage of the state's roads and highways at midnight July 1. Since then, police have investigated 256 accidents. Thirty-five of those accidents resulted in injuries. There have been no fatalities.
Police have also issued 127 tickets regarding seat belts, 1,649 speeding tickets and have arrested 69 people for drunk driving.
